The FOUR-POINT APPROACH
The Discover Corbin Main Street program uses the "Four-Point Approach"
to downtown revitalization, a comprehensive plan established by the
National Main Street Center, part of the National Trust for Historic
Preservation in Washington, D.C:
- Design
- Enhancing the physical appearance of the business district through building renovation and new construction.
- Organization
- Building consensus and cooperation among the many groups and individuals who have a stake in the revitalization process.
- Promotion
- Marketing the downtown to customers, potential investors and visitors.
- Economic Restructuring
- Finding ways to strengthen the district's existing businesses and working to meet new challenges from outlying development.
